Day and Night Let Incense Arise

Is Every Believer called to a life of prayer?
Yes of course. Why not delve into Revelation Chapter 8 and have the eyes of your understanding enlightened?
In her book, 'Master Potter: From Brokenness to Divine Destiny', the late Jill Austin describes the Revelation 8: 3-5 scene in the Throne Room most rivetingly!
A powerful angel, his entire being shimmering with divine light, stands at the golden altar before the Throne. He holds a golden censer. Worship fades into the distance and a crescendo of thousands of voices in all languages can be heard, passionately pleading for salvation, healing and deliverance of loved ones. The Father gives the angel a great quantity of incense. The angel adds it, to the prayers of these people, upon the golden altar which is before the Glorious Throne. The fiery smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, rises up out of the angel's censer. Swirling before God as a sweet smelling fragrance, it mingles with frankincense and other rare aromas. Then the mighty angel fills the golden censer with fire from the altar and throws it to the earth, answering the prayers. With each utterance of prayer, power is released in the heavenlies, bringing answers on earth. Thunder rumbles and lightning flashes as mercy, justice and loving kindness are poured out from the throne, bringing vengeance on the enemy. The release of salvation, deliverance and miracles forces the demonic to retreat. When the Father adds the incense to the prayers, it signals His willingness to answer.
Every prayer you pray is placed upon the golden altar before the Throne of God. Could this be why the enemy loves to distract you or dissuade or disappoint you every now and then with this holy occupation?
May your heart capture this beautiful scene of the Throne Room of God.
Day and night, night and day let incense arise
Be unceasing in prayer
